Herne Hill Renovation

This lovely terraced house in leafy Herne Hill had been rented out whilst its owners were working abroad, and was in need of a total overhaul when they returned to London to live in it. As well as sorting out damp issues, the house needed reconfiguring as it was dark and lacked views of the garden. Its owners wanted it to feel light & fresh and to contrast the period details with contemporary finishes and furniture. So we mixed elements of bronze with natural linens, oak flooring with rattan and travertine with lots of woven rugs. The house now feels comfortable, cosy and elegantly understated
